Need to display date in Design Studio as dd.mm.yyyy

Hi,

DesignStudio prompt running on local server works according to expectations and displays the date in german format 25.10.2016 , but deploying the report on to the Enterprise Server all prompts are using wrong date format prompts i.e the date format gets converted to 10/25/2016

we want the date format to be displayed in german date format i.e 25.10.2016 not american one.

We are using DS 1.6 SP1 patch 2.

When we are trying to run the DS application locally then it is displaying the date as dd.mm.yyyy as the IE has been configured in NO Language.

But when we try to display the date as dd.mm.yyyy, when we are refreshing through the SAP portal we are getting the format as mm/dd/yyyyy. As the language used in Portal is EN so the dates are by default displayed in American format.

Could you please let us know if anything is changed how the DS component on NW is defining the user date format.

Thanks,

Annie

    HI,

we have referred the chapter 11.4 of below link.

    https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012002523100012464492016E/ds_16SP03_admin_nw_en.pdf

this states that "The format for numbers , dates and times varies accordingly to the defined language setting in the web browser".

We have referred but did not find any solution to our issue. If we set the IE as English we get the format as mm/dd/yyyy. Since Norwagien language is not supported in DS as per pam. If we set IE as NO we are getting the date format as dd.mm.yyyy when we run locally, in sap enterprise portal this does not work. So wanted to know how the DS component on NW is defining the user date format.

    Thanks,

    Annie

Annie - what are your formats in the Enterprise Portal? See https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1462616
