Update Data in C4C

Hello,

I want to update the owner in more than 500 customers and I followed this steps:

Data Workbench -> Import -> Individual Object -> Update -> Choose account.

But when I convert the .xml file to .csv file and zip appears that error:

I can't continue the steps with this error.

Can you help me?

Hi Andre,

First you have to export the customer xml file using the export functionality in data workbench. After that you can update the owner field in the downloaded file and using the import>update upload the downloaded file with updated values. I hope this will work for you.

Tell me if you know. Is it possible to change the owner "XX" to "Empty". I want to have some clients without owner.

Yes it is possible to remove owner from accounts.

Hi Andre,

After 1811 release, External Key is mandatory for Import for all the objects in Data Workbench. External Key is unique value which you need to provide for each and every record and it is only specific to Data Workbench. You wont see this value anywhere in the UI
