Cost element error on internal activity

Former Member

Hi all;

I am currently having a problem in that when I enter a value in the Mat. Planning field on the Assignment tab of an internal activity I get the following error: " Cost element 400000 does not exist in CO area XXXX"

Where can I change the assignment from cost element 400000 to another that is within the CO area?

The obvious answer would be to create the required cost element but I am trying to avoid this.

Regards;

Werner

Hi,

Step 1: Tcode: OBYC

Step2: Double click on GBB and then go to general modifier : VBR, select a Valuation class and copy the GL account from here.

Step3: Insure that the Cost element is created for this GL account (It should be there)

Step4: Tcode: OPUU, Activity tab, internally processed activity, material cost element mention the Cost element of step 3.

Step5: Create a New project and assign the Internal activity and carry out the material cost planning.

Hope it helps...

Thanks!!!

Dear Varshal Kachole

In my case we have more than one Cost Element with different Valuation Class under Transaction GBB General modification VBR.

My question is

Can I use all Cost Element from here, if yes then how it is possible is it by creating different Network Profile,because one cost element can assign with one Control Key only.

Regards

Sekhar
