Modifications to Query

I have following doubts regarding query.

1) is it a config activity ? can we create a query directly in production system.

2) i want develope some modifications to a existing query, for changing a query what is the T-code & how can i implement ?

3) can i change directly in production system or through transport do i have to follow the process of Dev to PRD.

please give me any guidelines..

hi

its advisable to change the query in transaction SQ00 (change mode) only in Development client, create a transport request and move it to production. do not change anything in production directly it will have inconsistency.

Hi,

I also have one question regarding Query here:-

I have a query existing in QA server and has a T-code also to it. But the same cannot be seen in development server..it is throwing error message that User group has not been created.

What I know is that.. Query cannot be transported but only the transaction code that you create for a query is transported..So is it correct that you have to create the Query in each server and that you cannot once and for all transport it to all the servers.
