Posting Period Locked

Hi,

While performing Overall completion confirmation(IW42) in PM,I get error msg "Posting period is locked for 009 2009".

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

please, read carefully note 852249,

Please check your settings in OPK1.

In IW42 it is possible to enter a posting date.

Thanks for your replies.Resolved the issue using OKP1.The Controlling area was locked for period 009.

Hi,

Try out T code - MMRV, it will help you to open previous closed posting period.

Or check,

whether there is any authorization mantained for that.

Check thru :

set authorization to users who are allowed to change the status (authorization >>> Administration >>> system Initialization >>> Posting Period >>> change period status)

2) authorization to users who are allowed to change the status (authorization >>> General >>> Period Status: Unlocked Except Sales or Period Status: Closing Period)

3) Change kinds of date in detail of posting period to meet your requirement.

Hi

"Posting period is locked for 009 2009" indicates that your FI period is not open.Please go to transaction code OB52 and open the period.This will resolve your issue.

1. Check T Code: OB52 whether period opened or not.

2. Check T Code: MMPV

3. Check T Code: MMRV

Hi,

Please check if posting period 9 is not open for your relevant posting period variant.

If you don't know your relevant posting period variant, just check which posting period variant is attached to your relevant company code (Path - Financial Accounting (New) - Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) - Fiscal Year and Posting Periods - Posting Periods - Assign Variants to Company Code)

To check whether posting period is open or not, just to go OB52 transaction.

Hi,

There must be some material movement involved and thats why its giving you this error. to open the period go to T-Code MMPV and open the current period. To check the periods open you can go to MMRV.

I have already checked MMRV and have opened the period using MMPV,but it doesn't help.I think this issue pertains to FI.
