Adding a user defined column in BOM

Hi Gurus,

I want to add an extra column in BOM other than provided by standard SAP.

This column will only be used for reporting and will have numbers from 0 to 9999.

I am using all the fields provided by SAP, like Sort String, Item Numbers etc.

Is there a simple way of doing the same.

Thanks

Geravine

    HI

donot change the std bom since this is master data for the sap

call the std bom from the customize bom transaction.

in ur customize bom u can add the extra colum as you like with the data that you enter

define ur data type and data definitin for the data.

    ask ur abaper for this.

    Hi,

As this is a master data try not to customize the same. There are lots of fields are available at BOM header and at tem level.

    Header

    BOM text

    Alt Text

    Lab/Office

    Size/dimensions

    Item

    Sort string

Reference point (This has an impact)

    Line 1

    Line 2

    Hope this will help.

    regards,
