Hi,
I have universe developed on SAP BI Query,
There is Characterstic called Business partner availble at source level(SAP Level), which has 3 attributes as shown in the example below.
If any changes are done at Source level on business partner infoobject (Added one more attribute called Extension Number2)
Now when I refresh the universe, by keeping following update options selected at universe:
1) Keep Business Name
2)Keep Type of object
3) Keep description
4) Keep data type
5)Keep Lov
6)Keep advanced option
7)Hide Obsolute objects
I observe the following changes:
Say Business Partner has following (detail objects) attributes available before refresh:
1) Business Partner (Key) Technical Name: [Level01].xyz1
2) Business Partner Extension Number Technical Name: [Level01].xyz2
3) Business partner Ph Number Technical Name: [Level01].xyz3
Now after adding Extension Number2 as attribute of Business Partner Characterstic, then After refreshing the Universe I observe the following changes:
1) Business Partner (Key) Technical Name: [Level01].xyz1
2) Business Partner Extension Number Technical Name: [Level01].xyz2
3) Business partner Ph Number Technical Name: [Level01].xyz4
4) L01 Business partner Ph Number Technical Name: [Level01].xyz3
The attribute number 3 defined above is pointing to the technical name [Level01].xyz3 before refreshing the universe.
Now after refreshing the universe I observe that the same attribute number 3 is now pointing to technical name [Level01].xyz4 which is the technical name of newly added attribute Extension Number2.
Would any one throw some light, how we can handle in these situations to retain the mapping after refreshing.
I observed internally Mapping of BI objects in the universe is done based on Alphabetical order.
Has any one faced this kind of situation before? please help me to overcome this situation.
regards,
Nisha
