Terminating event not getting triggered

Hi all,

I am working on PO approval Workflow and i am using a standard task (TS20000166) to release the PO. The workitem is received by the user and if he executes and releasing the release code.

After the release, the workitem is still in process, as the terminating event "Released" is not getting triggered. May I know whether i need to make any config. for the event "Released" to trigger.

P.S. In SWEL, when i release the PO, I am not able to see the "Released" event.

Well try like this

If you have created a ZBOR then after the task TS20000166 you might be using a ZBOR method for COMMIT WORK in the same method try to call the FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT by passing the workitem ID of the SINGLE RELAEASE TASK and then pass the BOR name and you have to pass to parameters to this event check them and pass to the above FM.

Thanks for your reply Pavan.

Depends upon on the document type, my workflow will give auto appoval or manual approval. Regarding Auto approval, its working fine (as per your suggestion in previous post).

In Manual approval, I am using std. task (TS20000166), method- SingleRelease and the workflow will not move further unless the terminating event "Released" occurs (if release in ME29N). I have configured the event "Released" in SWEC (On change).

I am able to see the event "Released" in SWEL when releases from WI but throws error and says, "Element RELEASECODE is not available in the container" and I saw in std. task the binding between terminating event and task is there and I am passing the release code & BO reference to the above method.

I am able to see the correct object key and Receiver type as my WI id in SWE3. So there is a event linkage but dont know why the terminating event "Released" is not triggering. Please help in this regard.

If I trigger the event "Released" from SWUE, the WI disappears from user's inbox.

Please suggest where to configure the event "Released" or is it ok in SWEC. If i dont configure the event "Released" in SWEC, i am not able to see the event in SWEL upon release.

It seems that are some errors in your release strategy config, make sure everything is good.

Thanks for your reply IA.

I consulted with functional guy and he says everything is ok and i am not able to figure out where to configure "Released" event in SPRO or somewhere. If anyone faces this issue,please help.

Hi,

One more thing is, when I release or reject the release code from ME29N, the only event gets triggered is "Changed" (If i dont configure the event "Released" in SWEC).

And when there is a change in ME22N, (release strategy changes or not changes), then the only event gets triggered is "Changed" not the event "SignificantlyChanged".

As per my understanding, if release strategy changes, then the event "SignificantlyChanged" needs to trigger and if any changes in ME22N (release strategy not changed) then the event "Changed" needs to trigger. Please clarify whether am I correct?
