Hi Experts,
Please help on the witholding tax computation.<
Our client is using a calculator that will comute wiholding tax rounded
by 2 decimals
3185.71 multiply by 2% = 63.72
After verifying the computation in excel the computation will be based
on below result
3185.71 multiply by 2% = 63.71 SAP 2007B pacth 11 has the same computation as
excel which is 63.71 witholding tax.
My question is can we change any set up in SAP B1 so that the the computation in SAP will round the
computation by 2 decimal for the wotholding tax? and have same result as follows
3185.71 multiply by 2% = 63.72
Regards,
Amy
Hi,
U have to manage rounding in Admin>>setup>>financial>>currencies>>select option round to one in the Rounding column.
Also check ur rounding method in Document setting >>gen tab.
As far as ur example is concern 63.71 is the corerct value. If at all ur client needs to enter the same he can enter it in withholding tax window as 63.72.
*Please check the calculation with your client because ............3185.71 multiply by 2% .........after rounding to two decimals in
excel will convert your multiplication amount ie. 63.7142 to 63.71 since next digit to one is 4 which is less then 5.*
Calcualtion done by SAP is absolutely correct.
For other calcualtions SAP will round acording to the setting made.
Hope this solves ur problem.
