Hi all,
I have a problem when creating a custom report using EVDRE. I want make user to choose a account in Dropdownlist and then input the value in input schedule. So i need to list the all members in dimension.
IF i get the members using EVDRE, i need to output TIME dimension meantime. I think it's so foolish.
Who can give me some idea??
Thanks in advance!!
Hi Steven-
Apologies, but your question is not very clear. I think you want to know how to provide functionality to allow a user to select a an account from a dropdown list? If this is correct, please consider using the EVMBR function in your report design.
If you are interested in being able to view all accounts in a report, please consider the practice of including hierarchies in your dimension member design. Include a top node (equivalent to "ALL VALUES") to provide an easy way for a user to view a summary of all values within a particular dimension.

Thanks for you answer.
Can you just tell me a way to get all of members for P_ACCT. I will use it in my custom report (not EVDRE).
FOR EX:
2010.JAN 2010.FEB .....
DIM1-VALUE1 DIM2-VALUE1
DIM1-VALUE1 DIM2-VALUE2
DIM2-VALUE2 DIM2-VALUE1
DIM2-VALUE2 DIM2-VALUE2
.....
Because a lot of value in DIM1 and DIM2 and most of that is not necessary. So I want to create dropdownlist on DIM1 and DIM2 for user to choose member. So i need the list of memeber for creating dropdownlist.
Can you give me some points??

Hi Steven,
You want to create a list of all P_ACCt members using EVDRE for using those members to create dropdown list in another custom report. Is that right? If so, you can have all the dimension members of P_ACCT if you use MEMBERS in the MemberSet field in the EVDRE.
You don;t have to have Time in other axis if you donlt want to. You can get any other dimension that has fewer members if you desire so.

Hi,
we are loading masterdata via SAP BI, and I also want to create a top node for every dimension which contains all values. What is the best solution to automate this ? Every time the masterdata is loaded via SAP BI, the top node will be overwritten. So I will need some kind of package which runs after every masterdata load and automatically creates the top node. I would suggest creating such package in BPC and include it into the SAP BI process chain... Or is there a better solution ?

This is possible if your account dimension is in the expansions.
If this is the fact, go to the expansion parameters, right click on the cell where you have defined the memberset parameters, and then choose 'EVDRE : build filter' . Here you can choose a property and filter on it. If you expand and refresh, it will expand your report based on this property filter.
