Problem creating Customer Equipment Card

Hi Experts,

When trying to add a Customer Equipment Card, I am getting the below error. I cannot find the Numbering Series for CECs?

No unique numbering defined in stock settings. Cannot create Customer Equipment Card. [Message 3676-7]

Hi,

The error message indicate that you have not set for 'Unique Serial Numbers by' under Administration->System initialization->General Settings->stock tab page.

Kindly check the same.

go to admin and under settings look for the option create cec with unique serial no....

cant give u the exact path as i m reinstalling sap on my system. but its in the basic setting
