IOT Gateway Edge - Upgrade Procedure

HI,

as the iot gateway edge is closely coupled to the biweekly deployment model, I got quite often an new release of gateway edge.

As I haven't seen an upgrade script so far, what is the best practice approach to upgrade an existing client and keep the current configuration of that specific client.

Is this something that has to be done on my own? If yes, what are the parts that needs to be kept? Do you provide a detailed description of the client changes every time to do a "save" upgrade?

Hello Rainer,

please have a look at the tutorial of the used Gateway Edge. Basically you just setup a new Gateway Edge using the same parameters and user certificate you are using in the existing one. If you have any custom OSGi bundles for your Gateway Edge, just start at step 3.

Hi Michael,

I know that Section in the online Help, that's the reason why I`m asking. in the online-help only the OSGi-Container will be referenced and not some required config-files. So if you transfer also config-Files its good, if not ......
