Open Item Activation for GL account

Hi All ,

In the selection screen for the open item management activation , there is a Document type mentioned under the conversion tab .

What is the purpose of this document type , and will the system post any new line item when converting to open item management ?

Hi,

The document type will be used if a transfer posting document is registered. However, this is not always the case and depends on the scenario you have for the specific account you want to convert to O/I. You can read about different scenarios in OSS note:
