inspection lot generation notification

Hi All,

when an inspection lot is genertated upon good receipt is ther anyway were i can create a notification to the concerned user for inspecting the lot.secondly if ihave 50 inspection lots generated in a day dou have any option through which i can assign the ispection lots to the concerned users or Quality inspectors.

Suggestion willbe worth appreatation.

if you want to send a notification you might take a look at the Workflow events for one of the following objects BUS2045

QMTB, or QPMK. and send a notification.

Hello

1) Alert Management is an SAP function. You will need an ABAPer to develop this functionality. You can either specify that alert should trigger to these many people or it can be particular role based so that alert to goes only to those persons who has those roles.

2) What you mean assigning inspection lot to an inspector? What is the exact requirment ? Normaly who is doing the result recording is taken as the inspector. If you use inspection point you can record who was the inspector

1) You can use alert management system to send alerts to the concerned whenever good receipt is done. If your intention is to inform the user of the inspection lot creation this will help

2) PLease let me know how are the quality inspectors categorised. is it based on the material type or something

1. the inspectors nott categorised in anyways...generally i want to notify for inspecting the material inspection lot.

Any specific config settings where i can generate alert for inspection or mail to the users..

2. how do u assign the inspection lot to the inspector

Hello Sarfraz,

Possibly this may work for inspector assignment to inspection lot.

1. Go to QA32. Select inspection lot and click on change inspection lot.

2. Put the inspector name in short text

3. This can be viewed in QA32 by changing layout on short text basis.

4. Prepare those many layouts for inspectors by filtering on respective inspector's name.

This may be a pretty simple way if works. The standard field is also available for this purpose. Go to RR screen there you can find the area icon change history to put inspector's name, inspection date and time. Please try this if you can make use of this.
