AJAX like screen movement in Webdynpro

Hi Experts,

I saw a video demonstration on sdn "https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EmTech/IslandsWDA_MHO" where with the new

service pack we can move trays or other UI elements on the screen just by holding the mouse button on them like in AJAX.

Unfortunately it didnt work for me when i tried to move my trays(which had tables within them) but i am sure i have the right

service pack version on my system. The other new features like having sort capability in search helps , ability to drag and drop the columns in a table with the mouse are working fine.

The component version in the system status window of my system says that i am on EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01. Could someone please tell me what is missing....

Thanks In Advance,

Chaitanya.

You are on the correct Enhancement Package level. The trays don't move automatically. You have to use the new Drag and Drop UI elements and events to design this into your application. I would suggest that you start by reading this help document:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/a5/bf47414eca430794189fbb5919cc2f/frameset.htm

You can also study the example application WDR_TEST_DRAG_AND_DROP.

In 7.02, SAP is doing some work that will allow some runtime drag and drop of components without need for special application coding. We will show this new functionality for the first time at TechEd this year.
