in sub contracting process, how to caluculate scrap getting from subcontracting vendor,for which what data to be maintained like materialmaster,what material typeshould maitained,
Maintain material master for scraps with material type ABF (Waste) and maintain in BOM with negative quantity and or in po in material tab (components). While receiving the FG from subcon vendor, these scraps will be received with mov.type 545. The scraps will be in sub contractor stock after we receive. So you should do 542 movement type to bring that to our unrestricted stock in MB1B.
You need to enter the scrap % ie. -ve qty for components in the BOM ie. at CS01...By this when you scrap the material while taking back, system will auto reduce the material....I don't think there is any need to maintain the anything else...
You only getting Semifinished goods from vendor after getting that you come know how much is to be scrapped inthat case u use 551 mvt type( Scrap from unrestricted stock).
