Hi Experts ,
Is there any way we can have those cool looking oval shaped (basically funky looking) buttons in webdynpro that some of the other frontend technologies seem to offer. The problem now is the end user isnt too happy with the look of webdynpro standard buttons.
Thanks In Advance,
Chaitanya.
Hi,
the only other way to chnage UI is using adobe flex component in your WD application. It brings pretty rich UI to portal environmant.
Refer to [https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EmTech/IslandsWDA_MHO] for more information on it.
Thanks

The Islands technology isn't intended for replicating or replacing standard Web Dynpro UI elements. It is desinged to add to the Web Dynpro UI experience by letting you create UI constructs that simply wouldn't be possible with HTML/JavaScript. Thinks like interactive charts with animation. There is a fairly heavily overhead for the instaniation of the Flash Player and the XML serialization of the data communications. Just using FlashIslands to have rounded buttons would seem to be a bit of a waste.
When in the Flex rendering of the Island, remember that you give up many features of Web Dynpro - RTL rendering, translation, personalization, configuration, enhancement framework, DDic property references, Search Help, etc.
