Scrap posting

Dear All,

in Discrete manufacturing confirmation screen i enter 20 units as yield and 2 as scrap.where system willl post these quantities, i mean yield will go to unrestricted stock if i m using auto goods receipt.

and where scrap quantity will go.

also in rep. manufacturing, where yield and scrap will go

    HI

    the yield will be go as the GR for the material and it will go to the finish product storage location if you mantianed in the material master.

    and if consider the scrab, system not consider or not taken into the account of the quantity of the materials those are scrab.

    simply it will vanish from the system. if scrab storage location and account is not maintained .

      Hi,

      If the scrap code is maintained in the BOM as by-product, then it will appear in the goods movement screen.

      As per standard SAP, the operational scrap is not considered by the system. It simply evaporates from the system.

      If you need to post the operational scrap, you wil have to use the concept of by-product and post it with Movement 531.

      For yield it will get posted as explained in the above post, it will go to the FG store location with 101 movement.
