how availability check works in case of multilevel product

Hi all ,

I want to know how availability check works in case of multilevel product.

While checking availability at sales order level does it check availabity at the lower most level of BOM or its up to first level only ....?

Does it have any relation with individual collective indicator in MRP view , if yes what....?

Yes system will explode bom upto the last level at back end and check the availability for the final product.

if you check the availability for the x. it calculte the procurement time +gr for Z and prodcution time for Y and X.

nothing but the total lead time for the product X
