when trying to continue archiving (trx sara) we get an message

Hello

We had no space left on archiving path(now the problem is solved). When trying to continue archiving (trx sara) we get an message

:"There are still incomplete archiving sessions. As long as there are incomplete archiving sessions, there is still risk that data is archived more than once as not all archived data was processed by the relevant delete program".

What does it actually means?

Should I delete archived file of last write session and continue by reexecuting failed write session(variant)

That simply means that you have incomplete (not having go through all the steps) sessions, because of that if you select a variant for the archiving object that involves documents on one of the incompleted jobs it could be archiving the same document more than once.

To check that just go to SARA -> enter Archiving object -> Management -> Check the incomplete sessions, if required resume the rest of the steps... otherwise ignore the message.

Hi,

Did the previous archive session 1. cancelled out because of space shortage or 2. did you interrupt the session thru SARA?

If the answer is 1, then you will have to see whether it created multiple files and some of them already completed the deletion run also (if you have selected automatic start of deletion after write). In this case, you will have to complete any delete runs which were cancelled / pending. Then re-run archiving with the same variant.

If you had not seleted automatic start of deletion and it was only write job which has run, then you can mark the session as invalid (in SARA -> Management) and re-run the whole session again with the same variant.

If the answer is 2 (interrupted), then you can run deletion for the files already created (if any), then continue with the same session.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Naveen
