SSO logins are not recorded in SAP backend systems

Hello All,

For our production Portal system when users login and access their back end systems, the respective logs are not recorded in the back end systems .

This is becoming a problem to the auditing team , as they have concerns if any user does not login for consecutive 90 days his user id should be deactivated.

Now the users are complaining even though they are logging to their backend systems , their user id's are being disabled by security persons as they can not see any logs of their login from SUIM records.

Can you kindly advice to fix this issue , as this is a production env..and making inconvience to the users .

Awaiting your reply .

Best Regards

Rakesh

Have you checked if the logins are recorded on SM20, SM21 or STAD?

Specially the Security Audit Log SM20 should record logon events if enabled.

Hello ,

Thanks for replying.

No, the logs are not recorded in any of the transactions mentioned .

We even created a test user and taken screen shots before after login too.

Kindly suggest me to fix the issue.

Hi,

Not sure but as far as i know SSO logins will not recoreded. Bcoz using sso the logins will not be a dialog login, it will be http plug-in logins. You can find this in SM04 when you portal user access some infor from backend. But not really sure whether it is stored for a long time or not in any log file. You can also check in sm21.

I don't think so,why b'coz the logs are stored in other systems QA & DEV .Even in production systems also in other landscape .
