check mode change not reflected

HI,

I am changing my check mode in product master in APO to a new value from old. But when i run Order confirmation in ECC it is only picking up the old check mode. Any reason why it would not pick up the new one.

Hi Sachin,

The check mode in Material Master data in APO is just used in case the system could not determine a check mode.

When running a ATP check in VA02 from R/3 the requirement class is handedover as check mode to APO.

SD (R/3) uses the requirement class of the requirement as check mode. As of R/3 Plugin 2000.1, the requirement class is transferred (via the strategy group in the material master) to the location-specific APO product master (ATP tab page).

Change the customizing in R/3 to a new requirement class and create this as check mode in APO customizing.

Hi Al Gut,

You can make the settings for the requirements class which concern costing and account assignment in the following activity: SPRO -> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Account Assignment/Costing -> Maintain requirements classes for costing/account assignment.
