How to delete BP in S/4HANA?

Hi everyone, i have to delete some BP with customer/vendor role.

I have already read notes n°2491026 and n°2640553 but they don't seem to work.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi,

there's a few note for this feature:

• 2599676 - Transaction BUPA_DEL is obsolete
• 2640553 - How to archive BP (without customer/vendor role) by SARA
• 2491026 - Guided Answer - How to delete BP (with vendor/customer role) completely in S/4HANA

The use of BUPA_DEL does not actually delete the records of all the tables involved and this makes the ranges canceled with the transaction not reusable.

When I use T-Code SARA to delete vendor, I have two problems which different from note 2640553 - How to archive BP (without customer/vendor role) by SARA, as the followings images. Could you help or give some advice?

Hi Yuxin the data archiving customizing is correct. If you don't have any external repository connected, it's correct that the field is blank. You want to delete BP so the external repository is not necessary. It's also correct that the system require a WB request. There are the same settings that I have on multiple customer's system

Regarding deleting BP (with vendor/customer role). What about the SAP license's cost of activation Business Functions ILM, BUPA_ILM_BF, ERP_CVP_ILM_1?

1-) Execute the transaction BUPA_PRE_DA in order to mark the partner to deletion

2-) Execute the transaction BUPA_DEL to delete the registry.

Hi Fausto, thank you for your answer but your solution doesn't work.

I got the error "Delete Business Partners A fatal error occurred No business partners deleted" from BUPA_DEL.

So i checked the note 2591489 - BUPA_DEL - "A fatal error occurred".

BUPA_DEL is obsolete (note 2599676 - Transaction BUPA_DEL is obsolete) and i need a solution for S/4HANA.

Thanks, these 2 steps worked for me in a DEV system in S4 1909.

The old BUT000 record was deleted by following this process. And then I could load a new replacement partner (with the same PARTNER number as the deleted one) but with a different BP Grouping and data.

(My requirement was to update old Dev partners, with more recent data coming from production).

U can archive the vendor or customer but u cannot delete it.

Hi Vignesh,

SAP checks many dependencies but IT IS possible to delete vendor or customer. Please do not confuse people.
