SAP Business One Release 8.8 Training

Following the release of SAP Business One release 8.8 in ramp-up, the delta training is also made available through the Channel Partner Portal. It is available as link on the 8.8 landing page or directly through [this link|https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000734892009E]. After taking the delta training you can take the web assessment. Passing the web assessment is a mandatory requirement for the lead consultant of ramp-up projects.

Hello,

I was preparing to give the certification exam for 2007 but now I see that ver 8.8 is out and should give exam for the latest.

The question that I dn't understand is do I need to study :

TB1000,TB1100,TB1200 ,all combined with the SDK(TB1300) part?

In the certification information page under the section "Competency Area" its mentioned only about TB1300 and others are

Alternative.

Please help me out here I am very confused and I need to give the exam by this month end.

Hi Garima,

Sorry for missing your post.

For preparation you can use the following materials:

Product Essentials learning map

https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001075912009E (S-User ID required)

This learning map, although designed for release 2007, it can still be used for preparing for the C_TB1300_88 certification.

You would not have to go through the full product training (TB1000 & TB1200)

TB1300 Training

The actual training for development consultants.

Earlier I was preparing for C_TB1300_07 and I was preapring for the Development consultant part.

In this I was just studying the SDK and its uses and accessed the study material by the below link:-

The above link can be accessed by the SAP id and password.The link that you have provided is very different from the above link.

I am confused as to the contents of your link are different from the above link.

Please help me out here.

Hi Garima,

Your link is to the SDK training materials. Next to the SDK part, a developer has to have a very basic understanding of standard functionality of SAP Business One. The link that I provided is for the standard functionaly you need to have in order to develop your extra functionality.

The link to the "Essential Product Learning Map For Development Consultants" + "Curriculum for Development Consultants" together will prepare you in full for the certification.

In teh training materials, the DI Server is not covered in detail as the focus is to the DI-API.

The best reference is the SDK Helpfile and this document on the SDN [original link is broken]

I'll ask a collegue if he has some information.

Hi Rajesh,

For release 8.8 we have the classroom training materials available in English which partners can access for free to use for the end-customers. These materials will be translated to the main languages. Full release 8.8 eLearning is a time consuming effort that we are looking into now but it will take some time to create.

The 8.8 training materials are on the Channel Partner Portal. Choose Education and then SAP Business One. Then on the left, choose Instructor Led Training > Classroom Material. The 8.8 materials are at the bottom of the page for TB1000, TB1100 and TB1200. You can download them by clicking on the link for each course. I hope that answers your question.

As regard to php sample, sorry we don't such sample so far.

Per php, I recommend you to B1WS, a web service wrapper of DI Server for only those 45 services objects. You can download B1WS here: SDK Tools Download:

From technical perspective, DI Server is based DCOM technology, I am not sure it is natively supported php. So you may think about wrapping DI server as web server with ASP.net, just like B1WS. php<=>web server<=>DI server

For the development consultant certification we do not have a self-test.

Perhpas if you google around you might find some on release 2007.
