In IDM, we are getting failed status while assigning roles in IDM.

We are using IDM in our project SAP NW IM 7.2. when we are trying to assign business roles in IDM it's going in failed status and roles are not getting assigned in backend ABAP production systems which are connected with IDM.

Please let me know any suggestions or solutions in this case.

Hello There,

let's start with the simple stuff:

Do you get any error messages in the system or job log?

Which service pack are you on?

Is provisioning failing completly (e.g. can you directly assign and thus provision privileges) or just the indirect assignment via business roles failes?

Hi Steffi,

Thanks for looking into this issue.

We are assigning business roles to the user via IDM front end and roles are going in failed status. We are not facing this issue with every business roles assignment. In case of few business roles assignment only this issue is coming.

We have raised OSS for SAP on this issue. But didn't get any response yet.

Can you retry the failed assignment and provide the scrrenshot of the job logs, so based on that it would be easy to help you
