Change sales open quantity in sales order

I have a question. Can I use userexit_move_field_to_vbap

in include - MV45AFZZ to change the logic of calculation for open quantity field.

Let us assume that your ordered quantity is 100, delivered quantity is 60 and open quantity is 40. Here can you tell me as to why you want to change the open quantity ? Seems to be no logic in this.
