Conversion of DeskI Report to WebI Report via Report Conversion Tool

Hi All,

I recently converted my DeskI Report to WebI Report using Report Conversion Tool...... I got my WebI Report partially creaed...

And later when i extracted my WebI report into an PDF file, i could see lot of discrepancies/mismatches in the report formats

Can anyone guide me on this..

Hi Mohan,

There are few functions which are supported in Desktop Intelligence reports and not supported in Web Intelligence Reports.

So only, when you convert the DeskI Reports to WebI Reports you get partially converted for which you need to do those chnages manually.

Does anyone know if the Report Conversion Tool Guide has been updated for XI 3.1 SP2? There are now more features supported in Webi, and I'm wondering if they can be converted from Deski.

You should update your system to BOE XI 3.1 Fix Pack 2.1. It is available in Marketplace.

I'm a consultant researching "what's new" with the conversion tool, and don't have a BOE installation. Do you have a link to the latest Report Conversion Tool documentation?

Hi Mohan,

When a DeskI report is converted to WebI then you may face some problems like

1. formatted related issues,

2.some functions which uare available in DeskI were absent in WebI. E.g. MultiCube, Synchronizing of no of data providers

3. some errors like syntax error, #error .....

For more details goto help.sap.com -> business objects -> product guide -> there you can get no of documents related to different bo versions.
