AFAB - error message KI 235 - Account XXXXXX requires an assignment to a CO

Hi,

We have entered the unplanned depreciation in our testing system but we are getting above error message when we run AFAB.

I found some threads about this error so I have checked following settings:

1. Asset Accounting>Integration with the General Ledger>Additional Account Assignment Objects-->Activate Account Assignment Objects - KOSTL is activated

2. Tcode ACSET is OK (it is the same as in the Production System)

2. Table ANLZ - all assets for our company code have valid cost centres assigned

Do you have any idea why this message suddenly appeared?

I have read a note 684659 and found that cost centre in field status group was suppressed in our testing system:

"Make sure that the account assignment objects are ready for input in

the field status of the account and the posting key. Hidden objects

are not copied to the line items.

(Example: If you grayed out the cost center in the field status, a profit

center derivation cannot be performed for this line item)".

Hi,

First set your relavant controlling area with OKKS.

Go to KA02 and enter your cost element XXXXXX and go to default acc assignment tab, and ther enter your cost center / internal order as a default CO object to dep expense postings.

This will fix your issue
