Hi All,

With the help of sap note 455140,455127,552616 i configure the sap level config. to send mail from SAP level to external server.Now we have to configure the exchange server which we are using.But i don't have any idea what to configure in exchange server.We are using MS Exchange server 2003.

Again i got a sap Note 594428 - SXC: Exchange 2003 Server is not supported.Is it true or there is some other way to send mails from SAP system to externel server using MS exchange server 2003.

Jitu

Dear Jitu,

there is nothing to do on exchange server.

you have to do configuration on SAP in transcation SCOT.

Thanks Nikunj,

I searched in SDN & there i got the information that we have to configure the exchane server also for sending mails to external mail server (like gmail,yahoo) from SAP.In the case of internel mails within the SAP we don't need to configure the exchange server.Please correct me if i am wrong.

@Nikunj Thaker

There is an instruction that need to be done on the SMTP Server.

@Jituda,

The IP Address of your SAP system needs to be populated on the Relay Agent of you SMTP Server (In this case Exchange).

As stated before use Internet Address when sending a mail via Sending a mail from SBWP

When i am sending a mail to one of my yahoo id i got the below mentionted error "Definately cannot transfer message to node SMTP due to connection error"

In the long text i got the following message in the procedure "Check the connection from R/3 to node SMTP. Perhaps the node is not assigned to the correct RFC destination. If so, correct this in Customizing.Otherwise use RFC destination management to check the RFC connection to destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes.If R/3 is in productive operation, it is advisable to reroute provisionally to another node."

Kindly suggest me how we chck that the RFC destination is correct or not.One more query is that how i know that exchange server configuration is completed from the SAP level
