Configure SDM Settings for NWDS 7.1

Hi

I have created a small webdynpro application for JAVA in NWDS 7.1

I have registered my system by going to Windows -- Preference -- SAP AS JAVA -- Register SAP Instances

When I am trying to deploy my JAVA application its throwing an error

The host or port returned by the SAP System Registry is invalid:

I have seen my sdm is working fine bcoz I can deploy the application through NWDS 7.0

Can anyone help me out with this how can I deploy my webdynpro application in NWDS 7.1

Regards

JM

    Hi John,

In NWDS 7.1 you need to register instance of server,

and 7.1 environment, i.e. including WAS CE 7.1 does not have an SDM, it uses JSPM for deployment.

Please refer [Configuring the Application Server in the Developer Studio |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/0cf28fb4d01f23e10000000a1553f7/content.htm]and check out if you have missed anything..

    hi,

Can you see your server in the NWDS? There is a console in nwds 7.1.

you can try "deploy view" to deploy your application.

    Best regards,

    John
