Hi Experts,
I have an issue opening the iView object after creating this iView from the Web Dynpro application. It shows this error every time I try to open the object:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/admin.templates/iviews/editors/com.sap.portal.pcmEditor
Component Name : com.sap.portal.appdesigner.framework.defaultPcmEditor
Any ideas how to solve the issue? I would very appreciate your responses.
Thanks,
-Don
Don,
I think it is because of permissions to the system object which is used for that webdynpro application iview.
go to system administration - system configuration - open the permissions of that system object-add everyone group and give read permissions and check the end user box

Thanks to all of your responses. I restarted the server, and it's working fine now.

Hi,
take o look into the log to find out more about the error (default.trc). Normally, there the error message is more complete and will give you a hint what really went wrong (permissions, code error, etc).

As suggested it may be the permission issue.

HI DON,
If u r assigning these iview/role to an end user then u shud make entry point as Yes(to that particula role/iview). Then only it can be seen at the end user.
Open that particular object and check for Entry Point and make it as yes. By defualt "NO" will be selected.
