Upgrading doubt

Hi Experts

We are upgrading sap hcm from Ecc 5.0 to Ecc 6.0.

We also upgrading portal from EP 6.0 to EP 7.0.

We have 5 customized PCRs in previous verson.

I have some doubts

1) Do i need to take any precautions before doing upgrade ? If Yes What are they ?

2) Does this upgrade have any impact on my PCRs? If yes what kind of impact for example: in tables or PDF document etc?

3) is there any other input regarding both upgrades ?

Hello Kaif,

I assume you are using custom Function groups, custom function modules and webdynpro based PCRs.

You are using MSS Business package 60.1.2.

a)Go through following notes:

SAP Note : 813800 Configuration of J2EE for PCRs (ERP2004/2005)

SAP Note: 959462 ISR/Adobe/Web Dynpro Java: Configuration problems

b) You may be interested to change the layout of the form to ZCI.

ERP2004 (NW04) u2013 All ISR Forms are xACF

ERP 6.0 (NW04s) u2013 PCR Forms are in ZCI

xACF u2013 Active Component Framework (xACF activeX controls must be installed on client PC aside from Adobe Reader)

ZCI u2013 Zero Client Install (only Adobe Reader is needed on client PC)

c) Include custom pcr in your mss role.
