Hi all,
Could anybody tell me the differences between ITS ESS/MSS and Webdynpro ESS/MSS?
Presently we have ITS based ESS/MSS in our landscape and customer wants to go for Webdynpro ESS/MSS. and Webdynpro ESS/MSS is already installed in the sandbox system where ITS based ESS/MSS is already there.
my doubt is can we install both ESS/MSS in the same server? if it is installed we may get any problems?
thankyou very much for your reply.
in our scenario Webdynpro based ESS/MSS is already deployed. Now I have been given chance to troubleshoot the same.
whenever I am clicking on ESS-overview it is giving error like "500 internal server error..active component must exist when getting interface controller". could you please help me. and also I am getting the error when I am opening MSS -overview also.

You can go ahead and deploy the relavant business packages for ESS based on support stack....ECC 6.0 does not support ITS based services for ESS any more. Its all contained with ESS-MSS. There are plenty of threads and good articles in wiki which will help you to set up ESS in your landscape. If you yet face any issues do post
Thanks,

With the newer versions of business packages SAP has got rid of ITS based services. SAP now delivers standard business packages either in WD Java or WD ABAP. ITS based services would run directly on top of the ABAP stack., with WD J you also have the java stack which is used for rendering the WD J applications. What is the version of the backend system that you are currently using?
Thanks,
GLM
