Hi ALL,
i checked the jobs in sm37 and found out that they were getting started but are getting terminated due to connection failure with source system.
here is the log:

Step 001 started (program RSCLXCOP, variant &0000000000003, user ID BASIS
Remote connection cannot be set up
Client 400 is not available in this system SY-SUBRC: 2
Job Finished
i have tried to loging to the source client through rfc and it is working fine.
any ideas as to what else is causing the connection to be terminated

Aravind,
If you run the test run then you will come to know the inconsistency at the table structure level.
Fill all the gaps before start the client copy otherwise it ll stuck somewhere.

Hi Arvind Kumar,
You may have missed some thing at the time od scheduling the job.Delete the job dafinition and schedule it again.
Login to the target client and execute tcode scc9
and fill below fields
Selected Profile - select the client copy profile
Source destinat. - RFC destination
System Name - SID
Source Client - CLIENT from which you want to copy.
Then schedule it in background.

Please try to run the Test Client copy Run first.
Please check the basic points before remote client copy.
you source and the target system should be at the same patch level.
Thanks
