Fellow Experts,
I'm trying to copy data between 2 different Info Structures, both consistent. Following is how my data structure looks like in both the Info Structures:
Info Struc 1:
Region >> Prod Line >> Basic Unit >>Material >> Plant (Warehouse/DC's only) >> Sales Employee
Info Struc 2:
Plant (MFG plant) >> Prod Family (machine wise grouping of Materials) >> Material
Idea is to copy the SOP/Forecast created data from the 1st Info Structure at the Material level to the Material level in Info Structure 2 & let the data simply aggregate to my Product Family, where I would like to do my capacity assessments (RCCP). Pls note the difference in Plants b/w the 2 Info Structures, in the 1st Plants are all Warehouses or DC's (from where selling happens), in the 2nd Plants are only the MFG plants. The Product Families are simply groupings, per work center/machine cells, of the same materials (as planned @ WH's/DC's) for viewing capacities.
Issue: When I copy over the data using Mass Processing, system gives me an error saying "No characteristic value combination exists for material XXXX, plant A in the source info structure", where Plant A is my MFG plan code.
So, the system is trying to find the same Plant/Matl combination in both the target & the source info structure for copying, which is not the case with my set-up. Want to copy material level quantities, as forecasted for Warehouse/DC's, to the MFG plants.
Any clue on how to get this sorted, would be of great help
Cheers
Anand
