Crystal Reports / OpenDocument : Prompts popup still showing empty

Hello,

We have a Crystal Reports 4 Enterprise document on our BI platform with two prompts.

The document will be opened through OpenDocument.

I have been able to pass successfully the two prompts in the link (via lsS / lsM parameters) but when the link is opened, the prompt selection window still shows... but is empty, with no prompt in it. The run button seems to be doing nothing, the prompt window shows up empty over and over again.

When the OpenDocument link is used without the prompts in the URL, the prompt window displays as expected and the reports runs successfully.

Why does the empty prompt selection popup is shown when all prompts are recognized in the openDocument URL ?

(Version is BiPlatform 4.2 SP5.)

I am facing exactly the same issue with the mentioned prompt above.

Could you tell me the SAP Note number that you've created to research the issue above?

Is there already a solution ?

Hello,

In our case, the problem came from the fact that we did not enclose our parameter names in brackets, i.e : lsSPromptName=[Values].

Adding the brackets solved the issue.

How are you setting your prompts? Can you send an example of the OpenDocument URL that you're generating? Does the prompt name in the reports match exactly (including case) what's in the URL? Are you UUEncoding your URL?

The parameters are the same as in the report (confirmed in CMC), otherwise the prompts would show. They don't show, just the empty prompt window (see image).

The URL is this one. The first prompt is coming from the Universe query, the second is a document prompt.
