emails not coming through in purchase requisition

Hi Gurus,

Can anybody please help me with this? The release strategy and everything is properly setup in the system. When the req is created, release strategy tab appears and it lists who it should go to? But the problem is the person who is listed there is not gettting the email? Why is this happening?

The user already has approver role.

Thanks

ANusha

    Hey there,

Under SCOT transaction, please check for the SMTP Node, if it is active or not.

It not then activate it, but by activating this Node it will trigger e-mails for all processes like it will send e-mails to Vendors, Customer etc if you have such settings of sending e-mail.

But you can also check in SOST transaction, for the status of mail.

    regards,

    Prashant Rathore.

OK. i checked in SCOT, the SMTP is green. In sost i'm not able to see the item. But in SWI1, i can see the item, then why is it that the email is not getting generated. the email addresses are correct, the users have the required roles.

    Hi,

Have you checked in SPAD TCODE whether mails has been generated?

If not, sth with config can be wrong.

    hope it helps.
