Dear,
Due to economic situation around world, the new implementations are on hold and flooding of SAP qualified professionals into market is increasing day by day.
Major companies who already succesfully implemented SAP are get trained their internal work force for support activities. So, its a little bit difficult for fresher candidates to get opportunities in ERP.
You didnt mentione your training and certification details, but anyway now a days - corporate companies looking for multi talented SAP professionals to hire who fulfill and can handle multiple tasks at a time. This helpful for corporate businesses to haldle multiple tasks at a time with single person and economical also.
So, its suggestible for consultants to gain a good knowledge in other areas togethere with MM like SD, LE&WM will give a greater scope of opportunities.
Dont worry about not to receive call, try to understand and analyze the market and look at your CV - is there any better way to propose yourself and attract opportunities. Meantime as I mentioned, concentrate on getting some knowledge in new functionalities also.
Regards,
Syed Hussain.
I cant tell you when the markets will boom again.
But you should always try to be better than the average to make yourself be more valuable.
Dont just focus on MM. try to add knowledge of more modules
The German market changed from old module focused to process focused like demand chain and supply chain.
We dont even have someone special for MM. not even in rollouts we have a consultant or an extra team for MM.
MM is seen more as a shared activity, which is included by portions to the activities of sourcing team, supply chain team and demand chain team.
Be prepared for any change that will come up.
gurus, thank u all for suggesting me to explore myself.I will definitely explore myself in WM module along with my main module..
And as u said that now, so many projects are on hold, may be that is the reason, there r very less openings.
but neverthless, the economy is improving and we can hope for the best...
as one of Guru said that, the sap mm boom will come in next 2 or 3 months, lets hope for the best..
thank u very much gurus for ur inspiration and suggestion..
Dear,
Ya i dont know..At about what exact time..It will come under boom..
But the only thing i can assure its not closed,,
One more thing..Y r u concentrating on only MM..Go for SCM,,
SAP software is used by limited firms and roll out are less,,
But actual purchase and supply chain..is there at all the manufacturing firms, telecom sectors..and production scetors..
Try in that,,by getting functional knowledge,,read prcourement process..
Why to depend only on SAP Software..Go in Active purchase as Management person..
