401 HTTP UnAuthorised Exception on SOAP Sender Adapter

Hi,

I am trying to expose a RFC as Web service using PI 7.1.I am using SOAP UI as a SOAP client to invoke the WS on PI7.1.I get the below error:

401 HTTP UnAuthorised error

I am using the URL as :http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<sourceComopnent>:<Channel>

Do I have to pass any secutiry credentials in SOAP request or it has to do with permissions within PI7.1

Hi,

Yes, you need to give user information to connect to PI system.

In SOAPUI, you can provide this info on the lower lefthand panel.
