I have an SNP PDS for a new resource that will start production some time in the future. I do not want to use that resource until that later date. So I set the valid from date on the production version in R/3. That CIFed over fine and the source of supply actually worked as expected. Howver the PDS had no resource. I found OSS note 1138338 that says.
"The operations, activities, mode and resources are not transferred to APO for SNP-PDS and CTM-PDS if the "valid from date" of the production version is in the future."
Since I can not edit PDS directly in APO. This limits my solution options.
I have tried a time phased quota arrangement.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and what did you do to get around it.
Thanks for the help.

Hi George
Did you try to apply the badi suggested in the note?
As far as I am aware the code suggested work fine without changing the way the PDS works: at the end the final validity date will still be in the future (only during transfer a different date is used to allow the trasnfer.
Could you give it a go and let me know if I am mistaken.
Thanks and Regards
Julien

I am having the same issue but we use PP/DS PDS. We have a resource that will start in the future but Curto_create does not pick up a future "valid from" date. We tried the badi but it did not work for the PP/DS PDS. Does anyone know of a solution for future valid fromn dates for a PPDS PDS ?
Thanks
A time phase quota arrangement works well for this. You need two or more quotas for the same product with the end dates set according to your phase-out/phase-in.
On the first quota set 100% for the old pds and then second has 100% of the new pds
Works for me... although I have PPMs but I don't that should change anything
