SAP PI Integration with eBay using REST & OAuth 2.0 Assistance required.

Hi Integration community,

I've got a current task to integrate Sap Pi 7.5 with eBay via their restful api's. I've done quite a lot of reading about how the OAuth security protocol works and how to generate tokens with their scopes etc but before i get too far down that path ,I am wondering if this has already been successfully done without additional customisation to the module. I say this as whilst doing some research there are posts on this site that suggest that its possible but with a custom module to handle the oauth token exchange.. This however was in early 2017 so im hoping things may have changed in that time.

    Hi George,

Latest REST API is capable of handling OAuth 2.0 authentication using

Flow = OAuth2.0 Grant type flow

OAuth 2.0 Grant Type = Resource Owner Password Credential Grant

Otherwise, you can write a JAVA mapping to call the API to get OAuth session for ebay call and set this in your HTTP header.

Use multiple mapping in your operational mapping. First, Java mapping and then your actual graphical mapping.
