specification workbench screen got two sections

Hi all,

Actually I am still not very familiar with the specification workbench.

This workbench consists of navigation area, and property area (i.e. the VA type section)

The very first screen that appear consists of Specification Header tab, Restriction tab, Identifier tab, Reference tab, Material Assignment tab, Status tab, and Relationship tab.

I notice when I click on the VA type in the property tree, another new screen appears which consists of Value Assignment tab, Usage tab, Source Tab, Assessment Tab, and User-Def. Text/Docs.

What is the different between these two screens as both have Rating fields (i.e. in the Restriction tab, and Usage tab relevantly)?

Hi YY,

The RESTRICTIONS tab in the specification header is for controlling change/Display authorization of the specification for particular validity area which ever combination you specify there.

The USAGE tab in the Value assignment type is used to controll the data output on to the reports for particular validity area as specified.

I suggest you to just go through the help.sap.com for your intial clarifications and doubts.
