Business One InterCompany Solution

Hi everyone,

one customer of us who has a service contract with a SAP Partner faces regular (minimum once a week) issues with the InterCompany Solution.

Every time BP, Items and Documents are no longer replicated between the existing databases, causing the whole business to stop, sometimes offices in two countries are not able to work for several hours.

SAP Partner told the customer that

"Sometimes data is stuck up in the queue so when we restart the services data started moving. As of now we have the only solution to restart the services."

Is this a usual behaviour with the InterCompany Setup?

    Hi Andreas,

I would recommend you to upgrade the Intercompany solution to the latest patch.

The issue related to queue struck was fixed in Intercompany 2.0 Patch 24.

Refer Note: 2552335 - Intercompany transactions are not processed and get stuck in the processing state.

    Thanks,

    Pankaj Sharma

    • Hallo Andreas,

I'm sorry to hear that. Of course, we produce a huge amount of information that needs to be digested.

In fact, we have significantly improved and corrected all the elements of the solution over the last two years (SAP Business One Core, B1i, intercompany add-on; think you run 9.2 PL04). It is of course a relevant question when to update or upgrade the system, how much effort, benefits, and other specific customer- or general dependencies are. I am sure your customer's partner will be happy to advise.

Just as a help, You probably already know this central blog, with which we try to inform everybody about intercompany as direct as possible. You/your customer should also have a s-user from your partner to be able to access other sources mentioned there such as the TopResolutions deck. Other questions and uncertainties we try to answer here in the community.

      Thanks for your question, Peter
