Geting error while creating test case hierarchy in SOLMAN 7.2 SP07

Hi Everyone,

We are working on Test Suite in SAP SOLMAN 7.2 on SP07.

While selecting test cases during creation of test plan, I'm not able to see the test cases. The error message shows that "Generate Test Case Hierarchy". I tried generating the test case hierarchy though the option given in test plan page but still gettig the same error. I even ran the report /BOFU/R_FBI_VIEW_CLEANUP_DDIC as given in the Note number 2595688. Can anyone please help me in getting the test cases while creating test plan.

Please find attached for the error coming in test plan management tab while creating test plan.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Nilabh, hi Reza,

please also check the Search Infrastructure as follows:

SOLADM -> Global Functions ("burger" menu in the upper right corner) -> Service Activities -> Check Search Infrastructure.

Ideally, you should see no red traffic signs here. In case there are red traffic signs, mark the row and you will be guided to steps that potentially solve the issues.

HTH & best regards,

guido

Hello Nilabh,

Ensure you have selected to display both Test case and Executables within the Settings tab of the Test Plan. Also check the solution, branch, view details maintained in the Test Plan. This context should have the test cases within the Solution Documentation.

If all of this correct, check generate Test case hierarchy shows up message test case hierarchy generation completed and the traffic light is green within the settings tab of Test Plan.

At last please check if the embedded search is working fine, if the search is not working then the test case details from the solution documentation are not retrieved.

Thanks,

Aj

Hi Nilabh Nayan,

In Settings tab, ensure you select Document Type as Test cases.

You should be able to see the test cases in the list. I am sure you are doing something wrong in the Settings tab.

Thanks,
