table-based value assignment

Hi all,

I am wondering if the folllowing configuration is require or is it allow to execute.

This configuration is to create entries for table-based value assignment under the following configuration path:

Environment, Health & Safety  Basic Data and Tools  Specification Management  Specification Database Structure  Settings for Value Assignment  Set Up Table-Based Value Assignment

My question is I am worry if I should execute this step of configuration because we have another plant in Singapore which have just completed the EHS project few months ago. Since executing this config is not indicating in plant or company code level, I am just worry that this action of this config will delete old entries and result in new entries generated.

Thus, should I execute this step in my situation, if it is ok to proceed what should I key in this screen on the value, or should I use the staandard SAP value as appear?

Hi,

You need to execute this activity if you want to create new Value assignment types or if you have created a new charecteristic for a existing VA type.

This execution doesnot delete any existing records.

You key in the Value assignment type(s) for which you want to create or change entries in the selection screen.
