Calling up more reports for S_ALR_87013558

Hi

When I call up more reports from the report S_ALR_87013558 Budget/Actual/Commitment/Remaining Plan/Assigned for projects the project commitment line item reports is working fine. However when I want to call up the actual line item report it says " No line items were selected" though it shows values for actuals. However when I run report CJI3 individually it is coming up with results.

What can be the issue here.

I am just thinking if I have missed out anything from config or any user status may drive this behaviour

Interestingly I have never observed this before. When I give the WBS number in the input screen this works and only call up report works for the one mentioned in the input screen.

Here below it works only for A.IM.00020 and not for its branches

When I give a * in the WBS element for selection it selects all the WBS of the project and the call up line items works for all the WBS in the project. Is this a standard behaviour? My assumption was this should work even if I only select the project from the input screen.

Inputs will be helpful.

Hi Suman,

Try to compare the this WBS element with others and see whether there is any difference.

Also take a trace comparing both the WBS element and see whether you get any auth issues

Hi Maria

This feature is existing for any WBS and any project/wbs combination in the system. It only calls up the actual line items of the report from inside s_alr_87013558 only when I am mentioning the wbs in the input screen that too the only wbs as given in the input and not for the others in the hierarchy.

So when I give the project number and wbs as * in the input it works fine for all the wbs inside the project.

Also note: This feature is only found for actual line items and not for commitment line items.

Though this question is quite old but still I want to bring to your notice that the issue still persists. The actual cost line items are only called up in the report output for S_ALR_87013558

If we leave the WBS as blank the actual line items are not called up. This is not the same as commitments.

This may be due to something else and I am unable to find the cause at the moment. I did an exact replica of my production access in QA and gave the authorization objects missing but still the issue persists. Though it comes up now with an user maintenance authorization profile.

the message still comes when I try to call up Line item report from standard reports and says "No Line Items were selected" Message KB422. Let me reiterate this point that there is absolutely no problem in calling up the commitment line item reports from these standard reports and is working fine , the problem is only with Project Actual which calls up CJI3.

Should I put a trace? Or raise this with SAP. Our platform is S/4 HANA and just hope this is not related with this issue.

Hi Suman,

Its always good to take a trace and see the behavior, certain auth checks we can find out using trace only.

As per your screenshot above, Did you check the Auth Object S_USER_PRO ?

Go to SUIM, using this search whether any role is available and the same is assigned to your ID

We did a trace the only one in error code is the one below

which comes in SU53 too. This authorization objects is for user profile maintenance. In anyway does this relate to this issue?

I dont think this will have any issue.

For the Auth Object S_USER_PRO, PROFILE = * and ACTVT = *, which is sufficient to provide access.

Yes I understand in production I can see missing authorization from SU53. I am trying to get the authorisation in production but I am wondering why the same issue is there in QA box.

What happens when you put SU53 in QA ? Did you get any authorization missing ?

In production this shows me as an authorization issue. The same authorization issue is not coming in other environments where I have SAP_ALL. However there I am facing the same issue that is no line items are selected , the message says" No line items were selected"

I have tried changing the selection dates ranges in CJI3 and then again executed report S_ALR_87013558 or from CJE0 the report 12KST1A

but facing the same problem. I am wondering how the commitment line items are working fine from the same report. Here platform is S4 but I dont think that is a problem in calling up more reports.

Hi Suman,

Just use /nSu53 transaction when you get "No line items were selected", this will show the missing error. Based on this, you can ask the security team

SAP_ALL, i dont think this will be assigned in PRD.

Hi Suman,

you can check by click on actual-Total and then goto line item report. if still you are getting issue than you have to analyse tcode CJE3 and report form-12KST1A.
