Can not access the Admin Console Tasks in BPC NW Web

Hi Experts,

We are implementing BPC NW and can not access the Admin Console tasks from web(IE 7). We are able to see same when we try from Server, but from individual systems we can not access. Are we missing some thing?

Thanks in advance.

regards,

Raju

    Hi,

When you open /osoft website from IE it will authenticate you against Windows AD and BPC security.

If you are on the server, i presume that you are login it with the bpc_sysadmin Windows account and so you have enough right with this user to browse on the Admin pane in BPC Web.

If you are on a client desktop, you may be logged on this computer with an account which is NOT the bpc_sysadmin Windows account. So when you open IE and connect to /osoft website, it will use your client desktop Windows account (which has no rights in BPC => And so you can't access the Admin pane).

    You may :

    • Add you client desktop windows account in ApShell security.

    OR

    • Change IE settings in order to get a pup-up login windows (which will allow you to send the BPC-SYSADMIN account credentials to BPC web server). For this : Open IE settings / Security / Edit the correct internet zone / In User authentication : Check "Prompt for user name and password"

    Sincerely

    Hi,

By giving XceedZip.dll file while installing BPC 7 for Office installation and BPC 7 Admin Client Installation we are able to see Admin console tasks in BPC NW web.

    regards,

    Raju
