Hello,
Following is an issue I am trying to resolve. Please provide your ideas with what can be done here including any transport request related technicalities involved:
1) There is a BI system: BWS (system ID)
2) Some changes recently have been made and a transport request is created
3) The transport request is still in u2018modifiableu2019 state and not released yet
4) Now the changes must be reverted to the original
5) Restoring DB to a previous system state is NOT an option, because DB Backup isnu2019t available
The question is, how to get the original state of those objects back. Meaning how to get the changes trapped in transport request be undone?
Please help by providing any ideas that you might have.
I appreciate your time and prompt help as always.
Regards,
Arun Rathour
What kind of changes are they?....
You can use version management to undo the changes but depends on what is been modified.

Hello -
There are two ways to revert it back to original..
You can manually perform the chnages on the object (thoguh not sure what is exactly the change) level to revert it back as it was before and save the chnages to the same transport request (as it is still modifiable).
Otherwise if the old versions are available in the system, then release this transport and then revert back the last version (just before this chnage) of the object.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Suman.

Please let me know ,How to check whether old version is available or not and revert back to old version .
Please reply ASAP.
Thank you

This is the right solution:
1. Go to SE03 and unlock the request & Task and then make the changes.
2. If the object is an Workbench object, check for any earlier versions from Version Management. If there is an old version, then import the previous version.
If there are no versions available for the object, even then there is no need to create a new TR as the object is still Modifiable the Developer can make the Changes in the existing Request.
Thanks and Regards,
