Accessing Application Enablement APIs via OAuth token

Hello,

I have been accessing AE APIs using token service for quite a bit. The token is obtained by invoking the API relative to the instance in question and by filling all the details such as the client_secret, which is received upon instance activation. Is there any way to retrieve a token without using that "root" client_secret? Best case scenario would be that of assigning an equivalent upon a new user creation in the SCI tenant.

Thanks,

Federico

Not sure if this helps but with new tenants, that have been created as cloud foundry sub-accounts based on entitlements, the so-called service broker is used. In this case multiple client secrets can be created as "service instances" as shown in below picture. Then you can choose which client secret to use for which situation.

This new process of creating tenants in self service as a customer is standard for new customers since July 27th and we are migrating customers and their tenants, who were onboarded the old way (without service broker, with manual steps on our side resulting in you receiving the client secret in an email), as we speak. You can find out if you have been migrated by checking, if you have entitlements for iot application enablement in your global accounts or not.
