Why do we get the exception CX_COND_MNT_SESSION?

I get the exception CX_COND_MNT_SESSION after executing the FM COND_MNT_INIT while creating a contract through BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE. I found some info about this FM which will be used for opening a new session for maintaining condition records & also it executes the authorization checks for the V_KONH_VKS authorization object. But unable to understand what's going wrong. Due to this exception, the subsequent contracts which are being created don't have condition records in A016 table. Please help provide some info.
